The objective of skill development is to provide support in achieving rapid and integrated development in the country through:

Increased personal employment capacity (salary / self-employment) and the ability to integrate variable technical and labor market demand.
Improvement in productivity and standard of living of the individual.
Strengthening the competitiveness of the country.
To attract investment in the area of skill development.

The objectives of the National Policy for Skill Development are as follows:

Creating opportunities for acquiring life-long skills for everyone, especially young men, women and disadvantaged groups.
To encourage all stakeholders to commit themselves to capacity development.
Strengthening the competitiveness of the country.
High as per the requirement of current and emerging employment market.
To develop quality skilled workforce / businessmen.
To establish a flexible delivery process that is commensurate with the large demand of stakeholders.
To establish effective coordination between various ministries of the country and the state and government and private service providers.
